RE Curriculum
“In our school, where everyone is special. We will love and serve as Jesus taught.”
“So love one another, help one another, and let the love of Jesus fill your minds and hearts.”
Colossians 3:10-17
To Know You More Clearly
To Know You More Clearly is used for Religious Education, which aligns with the Religious Education Directory. The curriculum is structured around six branches that are taught throughout the year from Reception – Year 5. While each year group studies the same branches, the content is progressive, enabling students to explore each branch in greater depth as they advance through their education.
The model curriculum aims to draw pupils into an encounter with a story, the story of God’s relationship with humanity. It creates the opportunity for religious education to be as rich in knowledge as any other curriculum subject while encouraging our children to live as disciples of Christ.
Pupils are taught through six branches throughout the academic year: Branch 1: Creation and Covenant
Branch 2: Prophecy and Promise
Branch 3: Galilee to Jerusalem
Branch 4: Desert to Garden
Branch 5: To the Ends of the Earth
Branch 6: Dialogue and Encounter

Come and See
Come and See is a Catholic Primary Religious Education programme delivered in Year 6. The child friendly material provided within Come and See allows children to explore the teachings of the Catholic church using age-appropriate resources and activities.
Each year group have their own list of focus topics to consider throughout the academic year. Come and See gives pupils the opportunity to explore the mystery of faith through Scripture and Tradition and coincides with the church calendar.
