Today marks the beginning of Quarant’ore where every Parish in the diocese is asked to hold 40 hours of prayer for worship of Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament.
It is a visit to Jesus present in the Blessed Sacrament and an opportunity to say ‘Thank You’ to Jesus – we have so much time to say ‘thank you’ but we sometimes forget. The ‘Blessed Sacrament’ is another way of saying Jesus present in Holy Communion, Jesus is very close to us here.
Our parish church will be open for our parish community today and tomorrow for our parishioners to pray before the Blessed Sacrament. Everyone is welcome to attend.
