Key Stage Two - Pupil of the Week - 31.03.17

Friday 31st March 2017

Congratulations to last weeks 'Pupils of The Week'

(Year 3) Amelia 3NM, Ben 3SD

(Year 4) Shay 4TD, Josh 4GC

(Year 5) Anastasia 5JD, Luca, Emily 5SC

(Year 6) Aaron 6EV, Gabby 6NB

We talked today about all of the opportunities we get to use maths in everyday life.

The children amazed me with their knowledge of how every job has mathematical opportunities. Builders need to know about perimeter and area to buy bricks and tiles while chefs need to be able to measure the right amounts of food to make their recipes.

All jobs had links to money including paying for goods and services. How do members of your family use maths in their everyday lives?

Have a great week!
