Key Stage Two - Pupil of the Week 16.09.16

Congratulations to this week's 'Pupils of The Week'.  Friday September 16th 2016

(Year 3) 3SD Maximo, 3NM Warren

(Year 4) 4TD Patrick, 4GC Danny

(Year 5) 5JD Isobel, 5SC Tom

(Year 6) 6EV Adam

We celebrated what would have been the 100th birthday of Roald Dahl this week.

We shared our favourite Roald Dahl books and also some of the things we found out about him.

‘He was a pilot in the second world war.’

‘Ava’s nan and mum own a book which was signed by him – Mr Carney told us the story in our assembly.’

‘My favourite book is the BFG especially the beginning when he takes the girl - it has just been made in to a film.’

I like ‘The Witches’ because it is scary!’

My favourite is ‘The Twits ‘because they are not very nice and are always trying to find ways of annoying each other.’

It was clear from the stories shared that Roald Dahl continues to be a very popular author. What is your favourite Roald Dahl book?  Perhaps you could tell your mum and dad what you like about it?

Have a great weekend!!

Mr Carney
