Year 3

'May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.' - Romans 15:13

Welcome back to school after a great Christmas Break and a big Happy New Year to everybody!

This term is only short but we have lots of exciting learning to cram into the next 10 weeks!

In English this term we will be focusing on instructional writing. We are really excited about this because we are going to link it to our Art topic of creating wallpaper. As well as this, we will be doing a narrative unit on Mystery stories and some work on shape poems.

Next week, in our foundation subject time, we will be doing Geography, learning all about our European Neighbours. We will locate our country on a map of Europe and learn about some of the countries and cities in our continent.

Science this term will focus on plants and animals and we will be doing this after our February half term break.

Stay posted for more updates and photos over the coming weeks. We are sure it is going to be another fun-filled term!

Welcome back to Year 3. You all look very smart in your uniforms and so grown up now that you are in Key Stage 2. You have made a fantastic start to the year and we can't wait to teach you all of the exciting things that we have planned.

This term we have lots to look forward to, including: A trip to the Walker Art Gallery, learning about life in Ancient Greece and Spanish maths with Senor Cuevas.

We're up for all of these learning challenges and we hope you are too!
