Visit to Turkey - Day 1

Monday

Still image for this video
The weather today has been very hot with a temperature of 27 degrees Celsius which is over 80 degrees Fahrenheit. The people in Turkey are very friendly and we have been made welcome everywhere we have been. First weof visited Adana Park and viewed the outside of the new mosque, which was absolutely enormous.

We then saw the old mosque and the flea market which was a maze of different types of market stall – everyone was trying to get you to buy their goods. There were some amazing shops as you can see from the photos.
Adana is famous for the ‘Adana kebab’ and we had our first one today. It was served with an onion salad, coriander, mixed salad and pomegranate & tomato salad which was absolutely delicious.

The traffic on the roads is crazy – everybody seems to be in a rush and it is amazing that there are few accidents. Look at the different types of buses.

Tomorrow we are visiting the school and we will meet the students who I have been told are really looking forward to answering your questions. Thank you for reading the blog … and keep asking the questions.
