Samba Drumming

This afternoon we've been learning to play drums with Mr Preston. The music was samba from Brazil, like in the carnivals. It was funny because he taught us how to do little bits of music by saying fish and chips, sausage and chips (that helped keep rhythm). For some beats we had to hit the drums with our sticks and for some beats we used our hands. We played drums and tamborims. (By Owen and Poppy)

Our Final Performance

Señor Preston came into school and taught us all about samba drums and samba band percussion instruments.  We had lots of fun singing along to, 'FISH AND CHIPS, SAUSAGE AND GRAVY' in an attempt to help us remember the rhythm.  (By Camille and Henry)
