Peruvian Music and Dance
It is Hispanic week in school and today we learned about the geography of Peru and had a look at some traditional instruments from different regions. We explored some of the instruments, such as the cajón (a box-like drum which you sit on), the cajita (a small box which you hit with a stick) and the quijada which is made from the jaw bone of a donkey!
We then played some music in groups and ended the session with a traditional dance around the hall.
It was brilliant fun!
