Today, Thursday 24th September, we have held our annual celebration of world languages during our 'European Day of Languages Day.
For KS2 children the day began with Mr Carney giving a special 'European Day of Languages' assembly which made us think about many different world languages, why we learn a language, the importance of communicating with people all around the world and the life opportunities being able to speak another language will provide us with.
Across the school we have had fun learning about the words used to describe the sounds animals make in different languages and have been very creative making signs, masks, collages and drawings to show our learning.
We also took part in a quiz all about world languages, including sign languaage and the origin of language. Have a go to see how well you do with your family...
