This week we have been learning about the Jewish celebration of Hannukkah.
We learnt that a candle is lit on 8 nights during the festival and each night the children get a small present and play games such as spin the dreidel.
On the Menorah there are 9 candle holders and the ninth candle is called the 'serving candle'. It is used to lit all the other candles.
We made some menorahs out of playdough and decorated Hannukkah cards and book marks to help us remember this important celebration.
