Investigation Conclusion

Click here to see our observations from a few weeks ago, when we looked at our 5 investigation plants. Today we had a final look to see how they were doing, before ending our investigation.

  • The plant which was given no water had grown a little bit - it had leaves, a stem and the start of some flower buds. However it was not very tall and by this afternoon, had wilted over and could no longer support it's own weight.
  • The plant which was kept completely in the dark had grown very, very tall, but was yellow and very sickly looking. It had very few leaves and no signs of any buds or flowers.
  • Finally, the plant growing in sand did have a healthy green colour but the leaves were wilted and floppy, unlike the leaves on the healthy plants which were fully open and held out from the stem.
