Investigating capacity

Today, (8.4.19) Year 3 looked at Capacity as part of our maths topic of measurement.  We discussed the difference between 1ml of water and 1L (There are 1000ml in 1L) and discussed what the word capacity means (the amount of liquid that something can hold). We poured water on our hands to see the difference between 1L and 1ml and then had a true or false quiz.

True or false - An olympic swimming pool has the capacity to hold  2.5 million Litres of water?
