International Day

"Yasou"

 

Take a look at our photos to see what a very busy day we had learning about our country:     Greece

We watched a PPT of facts and learned some useful phrases, such as 'Yasou' which means 'Hello', to put into our own little zig zag books.

Then we listened to the Greek Myth 'Arachne and Athene' in which Arachne annoyed the Goddess Athene. As a punishment for this Athene turned Arachne into a spider. We know a spider has 8 legs so this reminded us of our work on the 8x table. We made lots of little spiders and used them to practise our knowledge of 8x...

Finally we made an Ancient Greek timeline putting numbers in order.
