Information
Liverpool Reading Quality Mark
This award has been developed by the National Literacy Trust and our Local Authority with a focus to promote reading for enjoyment amongst children. A recent study conducted by the Institute for Education found that children who read for pleasure are likely to do significantly better at school than their peers. A huge thank you to everyone who has been involved in driving us all forward to increase reading for pleasure including staff, governors, parents/carers, and of course the children who have engaged so well with our Reading for Pleasure ethos. As a school we are delighted that our commitment to reading both in school and at home has been recognised.
Mrs. Kelly, Reading Advocate, Mrs. Nisbet , parent reading advocate, and some of the reading ambassadors attended the award ceremony held in Central Library. After the ceremony they had a tour of the library and visited the magnificent reading room and tok a look at the world's most expensive book!
