Food Faces

Our DT this week involved working with food. The aim was to use a range of ingredients to create a 'no-cook pizza' which looked like a face. We'd heard that the children in EYFS were not eating enough vegetables so were challenged to prepare them in a way that woould be appealing to them. The ingredients we chose from were; tomatoes, celery, peppers, cucumber, carrots, mushrooms, olives, sweetcorn, cheese and tomato sauce. As a base, we used tortilla wraps. We were developing our food preparation skills - cutting and peeling, to make different shapes and patterns with the ingredients, to build up our faces. Have a look through the galleries below and if you're feeling hungry, why not have a go at making your own?
