Busy bees!

We became as busy as bees when Mark the bee keeper came to school and brought an observation hive for us to study and find out all about bees and how they make honey. We learnt about different bees, how they live and work together in the hive and how they very cleverly pollinate flowers and collect nectar to make honey. This all supported our English focus on explanation texts and informed our writing. We found the observation hive fascinating and we learnt so much. The results were some fantastic explanation texts on how bees make honey and the life of bees.

Work to 'bee' proud of!
