Buildings

During our Buildings topic, we are learning about houses 'then' and 'now'.  We have talked about Celtic Roundhouses, Tudor Mansions, Georgian Townhouses and many more...  Today, we went for a walk around our local area to see how many different types of houses we could find and we also talked about the materials that they are made from.  The weather was glorious and we stayed out all afternoon!  We saw detached houses, semi-detached houses, terraced houses and flats.  We even stopped to look at and talk about St. Austin's church. Have a look at the photographs and decide which one is your favourite.  Miss Barrett loves the Georgian Terraces on Garston Old Road.
