A Spanish Snack

Today is Eurpoean day of languages and in school each class is looking at the culture of Romania, France, Italy or Spain (our partner countries in the BLEND project). In year 4, we have been looking at Spain. After learning a little about different foods which Spain is famous for, we discovered a very special sandwich that's very popular in Seville - the serranitoThere are lots of different ways to fill a serranito but we filled ours with tortilla (a potato and egg omelette), chorizo (a delicious type of sausage), manchego cheese (famous in Spain) and sliced tomato. Making (and then eating) sandwiches is thirsty work, so we washed it all down with some fruity sangria.

Why not try making your own at home?
