In Literacy this week we have been continuing our work on homophones and making clever riddles with words which have the same sound but different meanings and spellings.
Some very clever riddles were written both in class and on the blog site. Have a read and maybe leave a blog with a homophone riddle you have made up!

We are currently writing our own version of this film's narrative and considering alternative endings.

Some fantastic work has been completed in our 'Fractions' topic on many different types of fractions..simple fractions, improper fractions, mixed numbers, equivalent fractions! We will be applying this excellent learning in word problems next!
Why did Elizabeth 1 have so many portraits painted? This is a question we have been exploring in our IPC work. We have, also, studied a particular portrait, searched for it's symbols and explained the meaning behind these symbols. Good work Year 4 history detectives!
We have started our new R.E topic of Advent, beginning with considering what it means to be a good friend and the qualities needed to be this.
You all know the Spanish alfabet so well now that we have moved on to learning about sports, not only the names of sports, but also putting them into sentences about likes and dislikes...me gusta la hípica, no me gusta el golf....Can you think of any more?
