Staying Healthy

As part of our current topic ('How are you?') we've been talking about the types of food that we should and shouldn't be eating in order to stay healthy. On Tuesday, we were very lucky to have Dalbinder Bains (Dara's mum) visit us in school. Dalbinder works as a nutritional therapist and came in to tell us all about how the different foods that we eat can keep our bodies healthy and help us to grow. 

 

Dalbinder set us all (teachers included!) a task to try and complete over the next week, which was to try a new fruit or vegetable. To get us started, she brought in a selection of delicious fruits and vegetables for us to try. The selection included; figs, blackberries, blueberries, red yellow and orange peppers, coconut, pineapple, watermelon, fennel, broccoli, asparagus, pomegranate, mango and samphire; and as you can see below, looked scrumptious!
