Happy New Year to everybody. We hope you all had a lovely Christmas. Welcome back for another busy term.
We have got lots of exciting things to do to bulid on the great progress made last term.
Our R.E. Topics this term are
Listening and Sharing and
We will celebrate Mass together in St. Austin's towards the end of this half-term. We will let you know the date as soon as it is confirmed.
In Literacy we will be writing reports, looking at fiction and non-fiction and enjoying books and stories written by Dick King-Smith. We will be writing lots of stories and some letters.
Remember to keep bringing in your home reading card on a Friday and learning your weekly spellings.
In Numeracy we will rounding and ordering numbers, looking at Data Handling, finding out about fractions, reading scales and classifying and describing 3 D shapes.
New My Maths work will be on-line from Friday. Let your teacher know if you have any problems logging on or completing the tasks.
Our Science topics are Rocks and Soils and Magnets and during the first half term in History we will learn more about the Ancient Greeks. We have a great I.P.C. Topic before Easter when we will be finding out about chocolate and chocolate producing countries. The children will be producing another presentation to share with their class mates. We hope you have looked at the website to see the fantastic work that was produced before Christmas.
Mr. Evans and Miss McVeigh will be taking you for more exciting P.E and Music lessons. Individual instrument lessons will start again next week.
It is hard to believe that we have already started the second term. Year 3 really is flying by and the children are all growing up so quickly.
