Today we had some very special visitors on the playground - two police horses and the officers that ride them. You might have seen them outside school at the start of the day, making sure everyone on Riverbank Road was safe. They came round to the playground later on to tell us about how to approach a police officer riding a horse if you need help (tap the officer on the leg) and the kinds of jobs they do - including helping at every football match . The horses are called Harriet and Boris and they were gigantic! The officer riding Harriet told us about the horses' special hearing. Each ear can move in different directions so the horses can listen to many different things at once. If you see them out and about, don't forget to say hello!
