Remembrance Day 2 minute silence

On Tuesday 11th November at 11 a.m. St. Austin's fell silent for 2 minutes.

Remembrance Day

In 1918, November 11th signalled the end of the Great War; the Armistice was signed.  Since 1921,  the nation has come together to remember with pride the sacrifices that hundreds of thousands of British and Commonwealth service men/women made – not just during the Great War but WWII and all subsequent wars including Iraq and Afghanistan.
