It's hair raising!!

This week, we've been investigating static electricity. We were testing to see which objects could be charged with static electricity and then pick up pieces of tissue paper. The objects tested were; balloons, metal spoons, plastic combs and wooden pencils. Can you predict the results? Which do you think could be charged?

Electrostatic effect on water

A flow of water near an charged surface of a balloon. The balloon is rubbed with a pullover and put near a tap water. Flow is deviated due to electrostatic forces. Could someone explain me why ?
