International Day - Indian Food

We finished our afternoon with some Indian snacks. We tried 3 different sweets - gulab jamun (a kind of sweet dumpling, covered in syrup), burfi (a bit like fudge, made from condensed milk and flavoured with things like coconut or pistachio) and jalebi (a sticky, orange, sugary, syrupy spiral). We also had some freshly made bhel puri, which is a delicious snack made from puffed rice, sev (chickpea noodles) yoghurt, corriander, tamarind, shallot and pomegranate.
