We have had lots of fun during Hispanic Week. Our week began with a surprise visit from the world's best freestyle footballer, John Farnworth and with him we learnt some Brazilian football skills, amongst others.
We visited St Julie's High School for a morning of fun Hispanic activities, including music, song, drama story telling and sequencing.
We have learnt dance techniques in flamenco and carnival dances. We learnt about Hispanic carnivals and the celebrations that these involve. Liverpool Hope and Liverpool University students and teachers visited to help us develop our language skills - we even learnt some Portuguese!
We turned our classrooms into 'take away tapas' restaurants and invited children from Barlows, St Sebastians and St Cuthbert's Primary schools to dine with us. Together, we completed a tapas quizz on the Ipads and then made our own tapas!
We really enjoyed performing our modern version of 'Cenicienta' for our parents and other invited guests.
Take a look at all the fun we had...
