We had a wonderful day celebrating European day of languages. In the morning, we learnt some interesting facts about our world such as the names of our oceans, which country has the biggest population and the names of the continents.
Did you know that 70% of the world is covered by water?
Year 3 also learnt a lot about our home city of Liverpool. We discussed what makes Liverpool a multi-cultural city and came up with some wonderful ideas such as the variety of restaurants available in the city, how many footballers are from around the world and the fact that Liverpool is home to one of the biggest china towns in Europe.
In the afternoon, we read the Greek myth of Arachne the spider and had a go at making our own clay spiders. We then used our spiders to help us with our 8 times tables!
