Today we began our project 'Enough for all. forever, by exploring the terms 'eco-diversity' and 'bio-diversity'. We thought of an animal, then looked at different environments to decide which one our chosen animal would prefer to live in and why. That made us think about what different animals, insects and birds need to survive and the diversity that exists in different environments. We talked about our responsibility to each other and the planet to look after these environments so that bio diversity can prosper for the good of us all. We would like to create our own 'eco-garden' in school so we made bird feeders as a start to this. We finished with a prayer for our planet.
All-powerful God, you are present in the whole universe and in the smallest of your creatures. You embrace with your tenderness all that exists.
Pour out upon us the power of your love, that we may protect life and beauty.
Fill us with peace, that we may live as brothers and sisters, harming no one.
