Thursday 6th October was National Poetry Day, an annual celebration of poetry and all things poetical. Miss Barrett showed us a poetry book called, 'A First Book of Nature' and read us a poem called, 'Autumn'. After discussing the poem, we went outside onto the Woodland Walk to collect fallen leaves. Once back inside, we made rubbings of the leaves and then we wrote acrostic poems about Autumn.
Remember...Poetry is for life, not 24 hours!
