Carnival Masks

In 2AK we have been inspired by the carnivals held in Rio (Mardi Gras) and Venice. After watching some clips of the dancing and listening to carnival music we had a closer look at some of the masks worn by the carnival dancers.
We picked out particular features and patterns that we liked and then got to work designing our own.
The next stage was to paint the main colour or blocks of colour, wait for it to dry and add any more details in paint that were needed. Finally, using beads, feathers, ribbons, pom poms, chenille sticks and lots and lots of glitter we added the 'embellishments' our masks needed!
Here are the finished products.
