Well done to all the children who took part in the Catholic Schools Athletics Competition this week. They all seemed to enjoy the experience and the opportunity to represent the school. We look forward to next year's competitions.
3JD's swimming lessons continue next week which will be our final sessions. Unfortunately we will only have had ten sessions but the children have made great improvement. Maybe during the summer holidays there will be an opportunity to go swimming as a family.
We have now completed our test week but are still continuing to assess and monitor the children's progress.
We still have lots of lovely lessons to enjoy before the term ends. It's hard to believe that Year 3 has passed so quickly and the children are looking forward to moving on to Year 4 to meet the challenges there.
As part of our Explorers topic each table has been given an area to research before next week. The areas are: Rainforests, Jungles, Deserts, Seas, Mountains and the Polar Regions. We don't expect the children to produce powerpoints or scrapbooks just some information which they can use to make a poster and share with the rest of the class. The children love learning from each other so the more information they have the better.
The school fair takes place on Sunday 30th June and the children have been asked to look at home for any items which may be useful eg. toiletries, books, games, bottles for the bottle tombola, groceries.
