Our topic this term sees us investigating history. We'll be looking at old objects and treasures from the past to learn where people lived, what they did and what happened to them. Thursday was the beginning of the topic and we all came to school dressed as archaeologists, ready to dig up the past. We learned what archaeologists actually do before we went outside to see what treasures we could find buried in the ground. Although we didn't find any fossils (the remains of living things), we found plenty of artifacts which told us a lot about people in the past. After a much needed lunch (digging was hard work!), we decided to try and make our own artifacts from clay. There were bowls, plates and dishes and they were all fantastic!
If you've got any old treasures at home, why not bring them in and show us?
